to staining from dirt,
water, oil and grease.
Treated surfaces retain
their natural color,
texture, and appearance.
Sealing with
Color Enhancer Sealer
Enhancing/wet

natural color inherent
to the particular stone.
Available in natural
look, semi-gloss, and
high gloss finishes.

surface, and penetrates
into the material. Iit
gives the best and long-lasting
sheen.
Polishing
This provides
the final polish to granites
after restoration and
can be used as part of
a maintenance program
to repolish lightly
worn traffic patterns
without honing.
Services on marble, travertine, limestone, and terrazzo
Honing
Removes factory grind patterns and scratches and etch marks from the stone's surface and provides a consistently honed finish on marble and limestone prior to final polishing. May reduce the need for diamond abrasives.
Polishing
Removes
light scratches, mild
acid etching, and light
wear patterns and restores
a high polish to marble,
travertine, terrazzo,
and agglomerates.
High Shining
Super-fine
shining powder creates
an ultra-high gloss polished
finish.
*Polishing newly installed stone in place can actually add a higher degree of
gloss than what the factory produces.

Stone and tile ID
You could ID Natural Stone with 3 simple tests:
First is the Scratch test, to determine the softness of the stone. Second
is the Absorption test and Third is the Sensitivity test, to see if the stone
is acid sensitive or not.
Igneous or Magmatic
- Stone of this type varies widely in pattern and color
- Granite – Homogenous and Oriente
Sedimentary
- Limestone, Travertine, Sandstone
Metamorphic
- Formed from preexisting igneous or sedimentary rocks affected by
dramatic changes in temperature and pressure
- Marble , Slate , Granite – Veined and Oriented ( Gneiss )
Limestone type
- Shells , Fossils , some veins , full of lime
- Usually sandy appearance
- Soft , Absorbent , acid sensitive
Marble type
- Generally has veins
- Soft , Absorbent , acid sensitive
Travertine type
- Has holes created by flowing water
- These are usually filled with epoxy or cement
- Soft , Absorbent , acid sensitive
Terrazzo
- Pieces of marble embedded in resin
- Just like marble
Granite – three types
- Homogenous ( darkest in color ) less absorbent
- Oriented
- Veined ( lightest in color ) very absorbent
- Not acid sensitive , not soft
Slate
- Cleft surface – can trap dirt & grout
- Not acid sensitive , very soft and very absorbent
Sandstone
- Looks like sand open faced pores
- Not acid sensitive , very soft and very absorbent
Quartzite
- Glass-like appearance
- Just like granite
Material ID
. Ceramic & Porcelain tiles
. Clay-based products ( Saltillo,Terra cotta,Brick )
. Cement-based products ( Concrete counter tops, Pavers )
Ceramic tile
- Glazed
Liquid glass applied to body – Fired at high temperature – Stain,
scratch and fire resistant
– Dose not fades from sunlight exposure
- Unglazed
Body and face are uniform in color – No glaze or coating – Used
in heavy traffic commercial areas
Porcelain & Quarry tile
- Body of tile is uniform, won’t wear through
- Compared to ceramic! Body is pressed under greater
pressure and fired at higher temperature
- Mostly used in commercial applications
Clay-based products
- Saltillo & Terra cotta
Usually not acid sensitive – Absorbent and porous ( longer drying
time & high sealer consumption )
– Low to medium abrasion resistance – May have a
tendency to effloresce
- Clay bricks
Usually like saltillo – Medium abrasion resistance – can be 2 to 3
times the price of concrete brick
Cement-based products
- Concrete slab, bricks & stepping stones
Acid sensitive – Generally less expensive than brick – Wide
variety of surface – Textures – May have a tendency to effloresce

Stone Maintenance
Using the wrong cleaners can damage natural stone
and degrade the sealers.
Keep Your Marble Dust-Free
Ordinary dust particles will obscure the natural beauty and appearance
of your marble or polished natural stone. Dry-dust surfaces regularly using a
soft, non oily cloth, or cloth mop.
Clean Your Marble Carefully
Wash marble surfaces with cool, clean water. Mop or wipe with mild cleaning
solution using short overlapping strokes. Rinse thoroughly with clear water to
avoid streaks or soapy build-up.
Use a Separate Mop
It's best to use a clean mop on marble or terrazzo floors, one that
is free of harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners.
Tend to Spills Immediately
Acidic spills will mar surfaces quickly. Sponge up spills from citrus
juices, sodas, wine, and alcohol using fresh, clean water. If necessary, your regular
marble cleanser may be used. Note: Wet marble can be very slippery.
Never add vinegar to cleaning solutions
Vinegar chemically reacts with the calcium carbonate in marble and strips
the shine, permanently etching the surface. Use gentle, neutral cleaners.
For Marble or Granite Countertops
Clean the areas with revitalizer stone cleanser, to renew lost luster,
and help seal against spots.
Note: On softer stones such as marble to prevent scratches, you
must eliminate any contact with harsh material like metal (kitchen knife on marble
countertops).
Squeegee away Hard Water Spots
Squeegees are a must have for all marble and polished stone counters
and shower stalls. Squeegees whisk water and soap scum away before they have
a chance to dry causing hard water spots.

Ceramic and Porcelain Tile
Ceramic Tile and Porcelain Tile are used to produce magnificent
kitchen tile floors, kitchen tile countertops, bathroom tile, vanities,
and tile floors. Ceramic floor tile and ceramic wall tile look their finest
when they are cared for properly. It is very important to use products
specifically designed to clean tile, with Stone Tech Revitalizer Cleaner
you can clean your tile & grout and maintain your sealer in one process.
Normal maintenance of glazed floor tile consists of nothing more than sweeping,
vacuuming or dry or damp mopping with clean, clear water. It should not
be necessary to use any type of detergent on a glazed tile floor since
the detergent can leave a film that will dull the appearance of the tile.
